The Don Potter Scholarship Program

This program was the brainchild of SMSgt Don Potter, 774th TAS Flight Engineer and the Association's first president. Membership dues, sales of 774th TAS Association memorabilia and membership donations fund the Don Potter Scholarship Program.

The Don Potter Scholarship program is still active, and we have $1600 to award to a deserving young man or woman. Our tradition is to determine scholarship winners at our annual business meeting. Please consider donating to this fund, and help ensure deserving candidates apply.

There were no nominations for the Don Potter Scholarship at the 2018 Reunion. Therefore the membership decided to extend the deadline to the next Association Reunion to apply and to expand the eligibility for the award.

The Association received the following letter from Ryan Koenig:

Dear, Mr. Robinson and all 774 TAS Members

Thank you for awarding me with the Don Potter Scholarship. It really means a lot for me to be able to win an award that is named after my grandfather and to have my grandmother presenting it to me. With the money that you have awarded me, I will be able to pay off my tuition for the rest of this semester and still have some money left over to buy books for next semester. Thank you once again for giving me this award, and thank you for those who have served for this country! God bless you all!
